Our project to replace the Kaïlash is mobilizing our time and energy in 2011. The performance comparisons place the prototype on a par with the best wings currently in class C, with the accessibility and steering capacity we expect from all Nevures wings. The Diamir M 80/95 kgs is close to being finished and will be in pretests in the week starting the 12th September 2011.
Principal characteristics: Aspect ratio 5.9, 59 cells, 25.5m2 when flat, 3 rows lining, with an extra ramification on the central C pyramid. Leading edge with polyamide rods and pinches in the decoration, stress bands between the pyramids. Our system of V shaped bottom panels associated with the diagonal ribs allow us to avoid bands of tension above C line row.
The standard version will be the lightest:
Mix of Sytex 27, Skytex 40 repellent and Skytext 45 classic.
Unsheathed suspension lines for the top and Dyneema pre-stretched for the lower parts.
Riser strap 15mm. Accelerator reeving 1/3-2/3 with ball rings pulleys.
Weight 4.4 kgs and folded volume of

What was meant to simply be a basic scaling of our LOL 20 has evolved into the development of an entirely new model. The lessons from the development of the Diamir (adoption of the rods, the associated system of pinches) have brought to the LOL significant progress on multiple points: consistent and reliable inflation in all conditions, modification of the pitch stability and enlargement of the flying domain in the high angles of attack (taking charge, efficiency in thermals and precision of flight). The LOL II 18 is also being tested during the week beginning the 12th Sept. All being well we will accept first orders at St Hilaire.
Principal characteristics: Length 4.7, 40 cells, 18m2 when flat
Construction is comparable to the LOL20 except the leading edge with polyamide rods and pinches in the decoration.
One version only: the light one
Mix of Sytex 27, Skytex 40 deperled and Skytex 45 classic.
Unsheathed suspension lines at the top (sheathed optional) and Dyneema pre-streched for the lower parts.
Riser straps 15mm with accelerators or 20mm with trim : weight 2.85 kgs
Dyneema halyard with trim : weight 2.65kgs.
Folded volume < 20 litres.

As usual, Nervures will be present at St Hilaire, the place to be between 22th and 25th September 2011.
Come and visit us Stand C15, "Pavillon Rogallo".
See you soon !

Xavier tested a new concept this summer: the paragliding cruise. Just the thing for a holiday in the countryside: plenty of aerial and aquatic sporting activities, a zest for adventure, a superb location and a decent dose of good fun.
As an aside, it was a great opportunity to fly the prototype of our future “Diamir”. More details in No. 137 of “Parapente Mag”

Instructors and students participating in the “Handi” training school last May, all hugely appreciated the inflation qualities of Aloha.

Here in the Pyrenees, April was an extraordinary month for free flying. There have been 12 declared flights of more than 100 kms since the start of the season, 3 of which were more than 150 kms.
The high point of the month was on Monday 18th when Pierre Remy recorded a flight of 172 kms under a borrowed Boom 6 departing from the Val d’Azun. He first headed west towards the Aspe valley before returning east to the Val d’Aran (a Spanish valley on the French side of the Pyrenees) before finally landing in Luchon.
Manu Bonte with a Kailash Bivouac passed the 100 km mark that he had previously only come close to. Again departing from the Val d’Azun he completed a triangle over Bedous (Aspe Valley), the Granquet summit above Salles-Argeles, the Pic Yeous above Saligos before return to land in Aucun, which one must say, is much more likely to get you home for dinner than landing in Luchon!
This is a great opportunity to salute those pilots who are multiplying flights with the Kailash and the Kailash Bivouac : Laurent Soleil, Frédéric Bernard, Jean Michel Allemand, Bernard Rivory, Gilles Hugon and others…

The Nervures team wishes you a happy and healthy 2011. We hope you this is the year you will make the flight you've been dreaming of - the one you've thought about on days when taking your paraglider out is simply not possible. It could be a cross country flight, or a simple "plouf" one evening when the light is fabulous, or perhaps a flight in the mountains with friends or a hard core trek-flight, or.... perhaps just your first big flight.

The Aloha, a new mountain wing certified in A! The wing was announced in the press and it is now available for testing in size M. The L size is still undergoing certification, and the size S is being finalised.

The "bags" for the reserve chute "Plum" in sizes M and L were modified to better respond to your needs:
- there is now more than one model for all types of attachments (harness for the seat or the shoulders),
- the new bags are a little more spacious, which allows you to more easily set up your reserve chute,
- the bags are in a material that is more resistant to rips and tears. As a consequence they are slightly heavier (194 g instead of 163 g)..

Stable cross country flying or Speed Flying? Soaring or paragliding? Shape the air depending on your mood - LOL is ready for anything!

You were dreaming of a multi-use harness: cross country, trek-flying, bivouac-flying, tandem, and which offers the very best for each of these uses, without compromise...

The Faial (replacement of the Valluna) has ben certified under the EN standard. It is classed as a C at minimum weight (85kg) and B at max weight (115kg).

The replacement of the Valluna called "Faial" is nearly ready (EN flight test second week of December)
Technical specification for medium size:
-flat area: 27 m²
-take-off weight 80/100 kg
-aspect ratio 5.2
-glider weight:
--Standard version 5.0 Kg
--Bivouac version 3.8 kg (spectra risers and unsheathed upper lines)
--Paramotor version 5.2 kg
Most of the improvement is on the handling with a more direct control response. Performance measurements to be confirmed are slightly better than Valluna with higher top speed. The Faial will also exist in:
-XS 22 m² (50-70 kg)
-S 24.5 m² 65- 85 kg
-L 29.8 m² (95 -125 kg)
More precisions, including price-list, within one month

Kailash is the new performance glider from Nervures. With the promise of great performance, exceptional handling and superbe thermal behaviour. They also have designed a light weight version; 4.3kg for the medium size!

Nervures has managed to design one of the lightest certified (proper certification ie EN, not some private test with high speed impact...;-) reserve parachute on the market.

The new harness from Nervures is finally ready. It features airbag, integrated rucksack and anchor shoulder points. All that for less than 2 kilos. We should get a couple in the UK very soon.

After many prototypes and trials Nervures has achieved the design of the Swoop for speed flying.
Available in 2 sizes, 10 and 14 m², the Swoop combines power, acceleration, ease and performance.

For its 100th edition (July-August 2005) Cross Country Magazine has reviewed the Huapi Mountain and the Valluna Bivouac. Their comments about the Valluna Bivouacis: "The Nervures Valluna stood out from the pack as the lightest XC wing.". As for the Huapi Mountain their thought is: "A combination of nice handling, reasonable performance and tasty looks means that at 3.55 kg the Nervures Huapi came out top of the ultra-lightweights in our review"

Specifically designed for the one who likes to be on the move, it is also suitable for the pilots looking for a lightweight, confortable and functional harness.
1.28 Kg for size M
1.32 Kg for size L

There is no need to wait any longer, the Huapi is here. We have only been flying it for a couple a weeks, but what a gem. The handling is impeccable and the safety is very high, exactly what you want for your first paraglider. We have the Medium size in stock for you try. If you are interested please let us now by contacting us.

Nervures is putting the final touch to their new entry level paraglider, the Huapi. Just for you, we have the picture of one the very first pre-production Huapi. The design is so successful that this paraglider will suit beginner and more experienced pilots alike. As usual from Nervures, the paraglider is light (4.8 kg for the standard Medium), but is even lighter in its Mountain version (3.59 kg). It has the ease of launching and flying of the Estive and the performance of the Altea which it will both replace.
True to Nervures philosophy of ethical business the paraglider is made in Europe (France), but the price is still competitive and in the region of £1,650 for the standard and £1,800 for the Mountain.
It will be on sale at the end of March.

The Alpamayo II 43 is now available and certified CEN Tandem. Some of the improvements are:
-new lines design, hence a simplified preflight check.
-the wing arch has been re-designed to provide a more subtle turning behavior.
-new more powerful trim system with a 6 km/h speed gain compare to the old Alpamayo
The Alpamayo II has been very much appreciated by the pilot of the old Alpamayo, in particular the powerful take and flair.
All this has been done without sacrificing the passive safety which is at a very high level to allow you to fly passengers in perfect peace of mind.
